Position: Visitor Services Staff (part-time/non-benefit eligible)
Supervised by: Operations Manager
Innisfree Foundation is seeking to fill the position of part-time Visitor Service Staff. Visitor Service Staff are the initial and primary point of contact with Innisfree Garden visitors and are responsible for ensuring a positive guest experience at the Garden.
Primary Responsibilities:
Accurately and professionally performing duties such as greeting & checking in visitors, collecting payment, answering inquiries, and checking in tours/program participants.
Knowledge of current and future educational programs and classes occurring at Innisfree.
To recognize & appropriately greet trustees, members, donors, volunteers, and regular visitors.
Maintain parking area, restrooms, and visitor service area in the garden.
Occasionally working at programs and events – which could include set up/break down of events or working different hours than our normal schedule.
Additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills, and Expectations:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. One year of relevant work experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, along with the ability to work with the public in a diverse, customer service-oriented environment-which, calls for a high degree of patience and the ability to maintain a
Proven ability to work comfortably and efficiently with computers and other electronic equipment.
Accurate and responsible handling of cash, change, credit cards, and other financial transactions.
Positive and enthusiastic participation in all front-end operations.
Schedule flexibility and a part-time commitment of sixteen to twenty-four (16 – 24) hours per week. Weekend availability is a must.
Regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
Ability to continuously perform such manipulative tasks as keying information into computer systems.
Must adhere to the Covid-19 compliance guidelines and safe practices as outlined by the Foundation.
Physical Requirements:
Applicants must be physically capable of working outdoors for the duration of their shifts.
Ability to move quickly, and to sit, stand or walk for duration of shift to communicate clearly and precisely.
Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 20 pounds.
